poor explanation for checking to see if the pods and A-frames are tightly connected. If there is the slightest looseness of this connection the pool vacuum will not walk around properly. While there are other causes of this problem, this one is often overlooked. Other possible causes: bad bearing on A-frame, bad turbine bearing, piece of debris stuck on an A-frame, worn gear in upper area, debris stuck in steering gear box, worn gear(s) in steering gear box. Pool vac is a "roving" main drain. If you have separate vacuum line, install a "skimmer check valve" to plug front hole of skimmer.
